OINP Human Capital Priorities
Welcome to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Human Capital Priorities Stream, a dynamic immigration option for skilled workers who want to live and work in Ontario. This stream is designed to select highly skilled individuals who can contribute to Ontario’s economy and labor market.
Benefits of the OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream:
Targeted Selection: Ontario selects candidates from the federal Express Entry pool who meet specific criteria, ensuring a match with the province’s labor market needs.
No Job Offer Required: Candidates do not need a job offer to qualify, making the process more accessible for overseas applicants.
Comprehensive Ranking System Boost: Receiving a provincial nomination through this stream grants an additional 600 points in the Express Entry system, significantly increasing the chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
How the OINP Human Capital Priorities Stream Works:
Step 1: Express Entry Profile: Create a profile in the federal Express Entry system and indicate your interest in immigrating to Ontario.
Step 2: Notification of Interest (NOI): If you meet the criteria, Ontario may issue an NOI, inviting you to apply to the OINP.
Step 3: Application Submission: After receiving an NOI, submit your application to the OINP for the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
Step 4: Provincial Nomination: If your application is successful, you’ll receive a provincial nomination from Ontario.
Step 5: Apply for Permanent Residency: With the provincial nomination, you can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency.
